Spark – Issue 12, Term 3

By | Spark Updates

Nearing the end of Term

Over the past two weeks, we have held our combined Family Mass, external sports, and our very first Compassion Cup.  The 2024 Student Leaders attended an overnight training retreat at St Joseph’s Kincumber, and we have great faith that these leaders will make an outstanding contribution during their tenure.  The Father’s Day Breakfast was a huge success and we thank all the fathers, grandfathers and other important role models who came and enjoyed some breakfast and games with our students. Please read all our news articles to see what else we have been up to.

This week was National Child Protection Week, which highlighted the issues faced by children and young people and the role that we as a community have in ensuring they are safe and supported.

Finally, we trust our Year 11 students are prepared for their exams next week and Mr Lynch has included an article below wishing them well.

God bless you and your families.

Mr Adam Murdoch
College Principal

Some 'Firsts' for St Brigid's

This fortnight came with some ‘firsts’ for St Brigid’s

We welcomed our first baby calves in Agriculture, named Gracie and Immi who are only a few weeks old and still being bottle-fed, and today we hosted our first Book Week parade.

Our Year 8 students completed their Outdoor Education Experience camping at Freeman’s campground, followed by a trek to Catherine Hill Bay. Well done to everyone involved in these activities and Mr McFarlane for your planning and organisation!

As usual, plenty has been happening in Sports with students attending external competitions, and preparing for upcoming comps in Rugby League, Union, AFL, Dance and Basketball.

Please take a moment to peruse our recent articles and photos. Finally, I hope to see many of you at our combined Mass on Saturday.

God bless you and your families.

Mr Adam Murdoch
College Principal
