Alight Youth Ministry: A Midweek Moment of Faith and Community

6 March 2026
Back

Every Wednesday at Break One, a vibrant group of students gathers for our weekly Alight Youth Ministry meeting. This dedicated time offers students the chance to connect with like‑minded peers, explore their faith, and learn more about the rich traditions of the Catholic Church. From feast days and liturgical seasons to upcoming events and ministry opportunities, each session opens a door to deeper understanding and new experiences.

Throughout the term, our meetings have been filled with energy and enthusiasm. Students have jumped into a variety of activities, including interactive games, creative challenges, small‑group discussions, and the sharing of personal stories. Whether reflecting on prayer, recalling moments from pilgrimages, or talking about their journey in youth ministry so far, our students have shown remarkable openness, courage, and generosity of spirit.

We are incredibly proud of each student who has taken part this term. Their willingness to engage, contribute, and grow together continues to shape Alight Youth Ministry into a welcoming and inspiring community.
Students from all year groups are warmly encouraged to come along—there is so much more to look forward to, and always room for new voices, new friendships, and new beginnings. Alight Youth Ministry is truly shining bright this year!

Here at St Brigid’s, we acknowledge that the land on which we live, work, and play on was never ceded. We acknowledge the rich, diverse, and deep knowledge systems and cultural practices that have existed for hundreds of thousands of years in Australia. We pay our deep respect to our ancestors who have walked these ancient lands over many generations, and we honour and pay our respect to the Elders across the many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nations. We acknowledge the special and unique relationships Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to Country, Waterways and Skies. We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their continued connection to culture, knowledge, systems, spirituality, language, and cultural practices. Always was, always will be Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander lands and waterways.
