At St Brigid’s, education is about more than what students learn. It is about who they become.
The College motto, ‘Inflaming Hearts and Minds in Christ’, is brought to life through the Foundations for Inflaming Hearts & Minds in Christ. Inspired by the life of St Brigid and her love of Christ, the Foundations guide the entire College community and are centred on the values of Compassion, Courage, Wisdom and Stewardship. These values shape the way students learn, build relationships, serve others and contribute to the world around them.
Within St Brigid’s welcoming and hope-filled community, every student is known, valued, challenged and supported to flourish. Strong relationships between students, staff and families create a sense of belonging and provide the foundation from which young people can grow with confidence.
The Foundations for Inflaming Hearts & Minds in Christ are embedded throughout College life, supporting students to:

Learning at St Brigid’s is characterised by high expectations, evidence-based teaching, personalised support and strong relationships. Students are encouraged to embrace challenge, recognise their progress and take increasing ownership of their learning. Through engaging learning experiences, leadership opportunities and involvement in College life, students develop the confidence and independence to strive for their personal best while discovering their individual strengths, talents and sense of purpose.
