College Community
SPARK Issue 6 Term 2
Dear St Brigid’s Community,
We are pleased to share the latest edition of Spark News, highlighting the many experiences and opportunities our students have engaged in. Within this issue, you will find a range of stories that reflect the spirit of our College, celebrating student involvement, achievement, and the strong sense of community that defines life at St Brigid’s.
This issue features a Special Report on Responding to Peer Pressure. In today’s increasingly connected world, peer pressure plays a significant role in shaping the attitudes, behaviours, and decision-making of young people. This article explores the topic and offers practical strategies for families, supported by SchoolTV.
We also invite you to read an article from our Assistant Principal, “Courage in our Learning Communities” which shares how our students are living out the value of courage through their learning, relationships and engagement across the school community.
In the Attendance and Safeguarding spaces, we continue working to keep parents and carers informed, with new articles published in Spark each fortnight to support their child’s learning and wellbeing. Please take the time to read this issue’s articles on ‘Attendance – School Refusal’, and ‘Safeguarding in the Digital World’.
As always, we are grateful for the partnership we share with our families. Your ongoing support plays a vital role in the success and wellbeing of our students.
We hope you enjoy this edition of SPaRK and thank you for your continued support of our College community.
Mr Adam Murdoch
College Principal
