College Community

As we move into a significant period of the school year, many of our students are preparing for important milestones in their learning journey. For our Year 12 students, the upcoming HSC Trial Examinations provide an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, refine examination techniques, and prepare confidently for the Higher School Certificate. Similarly, our Year 11 students are approaching their Preliminary Examinations, an important step as they work towards the successful completion of their preliminary courses.

While examinations are important, success is rarely the result of one moment. Success is built through the consistent completion of small positive actions each day. Across Years 7-10, our focus continues to be on developing learning habits that support achievement. The learning expectations outlined in our Wisdom framework encourage students to come prepared, listen carefully, stay focused, ask questions, reflect on their learning, and engage positively in all aspects of school life. These seemingly small actions, when practised consistently, build the foundation for long-term success.

For many students in Years 8 and 10, this term also marks an important milestone as they begin making subject selections for the next stage of their education. Choosing subjects is an exciting opportunity for students to reflect on their strengths, interests, aspirations and future pathways. We encourage families to discuss these choices together and support students in making informed decisions that will enable them to flourish academically and personally. Another important occasion in the coming weeks will be the leadership handover ceremony, where we acknowledge the contribution of our current student leaders and welcome the next group of students who will take up positions of responsibility. Leadership within our school is built on service, integrity and the willingness to positively influence others. We thank our outgoing leaders for their commitment and look forward to seeing our incoming leaders continue to model our school values.
