College Community

As part of their study of Classification and Adaptations, Year 7 Science students recently participated in an engaging incursion presented by the Australian Reptile Park.

Students were introduced to a range of native and exotic animals and learned about the physical and behavioural adaptations that help organisms survive in diverse environments. The presentation provided valuable real-world examples of the classification concepts being explored in class and allowed students to deepen their understanding through direct observation and interaction. It was wonderful to see students so actively involved, asking thoughtful questions and making connections between their classroom learning and the natural world. The incursion was both educational and inspiring, helping to foster curiosity and a greater appreciation for biodiversity and conservation.
