Pastoral care in Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Broken Bay is based firmly on the Catholic worldview and the Christian vision as expressed in the following statements:
Pastoral Care

… is concerned with the dignity and integral growth of the person.

… is a responsibility entrusted to all members of the faith community.

… is a force for healing, reconciliation and liberation.

… is an expression of and commitment to justice.

At St Brigid’s Catholic College we have a strong commitment to Pastoral care and Wellbeing. We firmly believe that strong learning outcomes and positive wellbeing are inextricably linked. As such, we deliver strategic and targeted programs to support students social and emotional development,

At the heart of our approach to Wellbeing is the House Structure. All students and staff are connected to one of our four Houses/House Groups/House Teams.

Kildare House (Green) – Named after the birthplace of St Brigid’s.

Lakes House (Blue) – Acknowledges our local environment which encompasses Lake Munmorah and Lake Macquarie

Terry (Purple) – Named after the College’s foundation Principal Mrs Julie Terry

Walker (Red) – Named after Bishop David Walker who was instrumental in the development and construction of St Brigid’s Catholic College.
