Safeguarding: Reporting Concerns
Parents and carers play a vital role in helping to keep children safe. We strongly encourage you to report any safeguarding concerns, no matter how small or uncertain they may seem. If something doesn’t feel right, it is always better to share it so it can be looked into appropriately. Trusting your instincts can make a significant difference in identifying and addressing issues early.
Your child may sometimes share information that is confusing, worrying, or difficult to interpret. In these situations, you are not expected to have all the answers. If something your child says raises a concern, even if you are unsure of its meaning or seriousness, please take it seriously and consider passing it on. Early communication helps ensure that the right support can be put in place where needed.
The wellbeing team is always available to offer guidance and support. If you are uncertain about something your child has discussed with you, you are encouraged to reach out for advice. Our staff are trained to handle concerns sensitively and confidentially and can help you decide on the most appropriate next steps.
Working together is key to creating a safe and supportive environment for all students. By keeping open lines of communication and sharing concerns promptly, we can ensure that every child receives the care and protection they deserve. Please remember, no concern is too small when it comes to safeguarding.
