During week 6, the Year 12 Numeracy class went on a mini-excursion during their double period to complete Part 1 of their upcoming assessment task. They planned their route and then travelled around the surrounding suburbs investigating existing street libraries to gather design ideas as they will be designing and building a prototype street library for St Brigid’s.
The assessment involves the students using location, mapping, measurement, space and design to solve everyday problems. The winning design from the class will be constructed at school and placed in the grounds, accessible for students and parents to ‘Take a Book, Give a Book, Share a Book’.
