Year 7 Camp – Milson Island
On Wednesday 20 May, our Year 7 students set off for an exciting three-day camp at Milson Island. Students travelled to the island via ferry across the beautiful Hawkesbury River before settling into their cabins and enjoying lunch together. From there, the adventure began straight away with the first round of activities.
Throughout the camp, students participated in a wide range of activities including kayaking on the Hawkesbury River, archery tag, obstacle courses, damper cooking, and team initiative challenges. In their spare time, students made the most of the island facilities with games of basketball, football, tennis, ping pong, and chess.
Evenings were filled with fun games and challenges that encouraged teamwork, resilience, and plenty of laughter. On the second night, students also had the opportunity to relax by the campfire or watch the football game on the projector together.
On the final morning, students packed up early before taking part in Milson Island’s version of “The Amazing Race.” Every group gave the challenges their all and worked together brilliantly until the very end.
Every student at camp tackled each activity with enthusiasm, demonstrated excellent teamwork, and represented our school proudly. The camp provided students with opportunities to step outside their comfort zones, build friendships, strengthen resilience, and create lasting memories.
