SPARK – Issue 10 Term 3

Back

We are pleased to share the latest edition of Spark News, highlighting the many experiences and opportunities our students have engaged in. Within this issue, you will find a range of stories that reflect the spirit of our College, celebrating student involvement, achievement, and the strong sense of community that defines life at St Brigid’s.

This edition also features a Special Report on Year 12 Exam Stress, offering practical advice and strategies to help students manage pressure, maintain wellbeing, and approach their exams with confidence.

We are also pleased to share an article from our Assistant Principal, Developing Independent Learners Through Positive Study Habits, which explores how families can support students in building effective routines, organisation skills, and learning habits that promote long-term success.

Supporting student growth extends beyond academics, and in our safeguarding article, The Courage to Speak Up, we highlight the importance of creating safe environments where young people feel empowered to seek help, raise concerns, and support one another.

Attendance continues to be one of the strongest predictors of academic success. In Making Every Day Count – Attendance and the HSC, we examine the critical link between regular school attendance and student achievement, particularly as students progress through their senior years.

We encourage you to take the time to read these important articles and continue working in partnership with us to support the learning, wellbeing, and success of every student.

We hope you enjoy this edition of Spark News.

Kind regards

Mr Adam Murdoch
College Principal
