College Community
Spark Issue 8 Term 3
Dear St Brigid’s Community,
We are pleased to share the latest edition of Spark News, highlighting the many experiences and opportunities our students have engaged in. Within this issue, you will find a range of stories that reflect the spirit of our College, celebrating student involvement, achievement, and the strong sense of community that defines life at St Brigid’s.
This issue’s Special Report explores Mental Health Literacy and how to recognise when something isn’t right, knowing how to respond and understanding where to seek help when needed.
We also invite you to read an article from our Assistant Principal, “Learning Success Through Wisdom, Preparation and Persistence” which reflects on the importance of developing positive learning habits, preparing for examinations, making informed subject choices, and embracing leadership opportunities as students strive for success through wisdom, preparation and persistence.
In the Attendance and Safeguarding sections, we continue working to keep parents and carers informed, with new articles published in Spark each fortnight to support their child’s learning and wellbeing. Please take the time to read this issue’s articles on The Power of Excellent Attendance, and Safeguarding in the Age of AI.
We also share special messages to our Year 12 2026 cohort as they prepare for the HSC examinations and the final chapter of their schooling journey at St Brigid’s Catholic College.
As always, we are grateful for the partnership we share with our families. Your ongoing support plays a vital role in the success and wellbeing of our students.
We hope you enjoy this edition of Spark and thank you for your continued support of our College community.
Mr Adam Murdoch
College Principal
