Our Catholic faith tradition, encountered through Sacrament, Word and Prayer, are essential in the day to day life of the college, as are the sacred symbols visible throughout the school that signify our connection to our faith and the wider church.

We are fortunate to have strong links with our local parish, St Mary of Perpetual Succour, Toukley which has a second parish centre at St Brendan’s Lake Munmorah (across the road from the College). The celebration of Mass and liturgies are central to the expression of ‘communio’ as a community of disciples. Prayer life in the College will be expressed whenever we gather together as a community.

Our God is revealed to us through the Sacred Scriptures and so reflection on the scriptures will be afforded at appropriate times.

We have many opportunities where staff and students can participate in our Catholic Masses, liturgies and prayer:

  • Major Masses for the College: our Feast Day Mass, Our Assumption Mass, Our Year 12 Graduation Mass, our Celebration Mass.
  • Mentor Masses where each mentor group can participate in their own mass.
  • Staff prayer once a week.
  • Major liturgies focus on the Church’s Liturgical Year and major community events e.g. Lent, Easter, ANZAC Day, NAIDOC week.
